Between the twilight and evenings revelry, the city blushes in the setting sun as it balances growth or damage by it's people. Austin Blushes Yellow Jim inks plastic before burning the plastic onto a 20x24 sheet of aluminum. The fusion of the ink is permanently burned into the metal. A wall hanger is epoxied to the back to allow for wall display.

When printed on watercolor papers, the downtown Austin skyline took on a somber look. The yellow tones remind me of how Van Gogh favored the color. I call it "Austin Blushes Yellow." The perspective is from the Marriott Courtyard near the JW Marriott (seen in the distance) and nearby Hyatt Place.

Printed on watercolor paper, I am now able to duplicate (very closely) the look on a large cotton/poly canvas. (The poly/linen threading gives the piece a longevity lasting for decades.) I displayed it in a office setting with white walls and then moved it to a walnut office nearby. In both locations, the piece really popped!
