We paid a visit to Hurts Donuts in Oklahoma City located on 23rd Street. I thought it a mixed bag with the good out-weighing the average.

The toppings were really over the top and I loved that. The foundation...yeast or cake was simply average. (My opinion anyway)

I picked out 6 at $11...a bit cheaper if they choose...(but what's the fun in that?)

The Hurts maple bacon bar (a long john) was great ($3.50) but I wondered about the shelf life of bacon...I assume they are tossed every few hours... It was delicious.

There was a donut with a caramel topping with toffee bits, yum topping!

I also loved the Bavarian creme filled - chocolate covered piece of heaven.

As for the rest...My other three pics were...let's say ambulatory.

In my opinion, it is a special treat if you choose carefully. Otherwise it is not a regular stop for me.
