The Art
Sometimes you lose yourself in driving. The road may bore you. You can only wish for a diversion of a station, or a Dairy Queen. And then you see 5 windmills in a flat land. Over a small line of dirt, could be a canal, the clues are there but you are so close to the earth you are unsure. We spend our lives too close to the earth. Crops and tilled earth mean little until you will yourself so high the world would turn abstract.
Above, the tilled earth becomes gold and the crops become a patchwork of human toil. The turbines are tiny. The canal points to the sea.
Floating high above, the world becomes a patchwork of abstracts. Where we live is beautiful...we are just too close.
