Windmill, by Brooklyn artist Tom Fruin, stands at 40 feet. It is a functional windmill with acrylic panels. The blades allow power to be generated by the wind to convert electricity for the art piece's own programmed lights.
It stands outside of Tiffany and Co. in the Shops at Clearfork in Fort Worth.
The image you see is shot with an iPhone. I then let the media to guide me into a conversion of ink and plastic which is fused to a sheet of aluminum. From that, I can frame it in black with a d-ring hanger wire, or attach a wall hanging float so that it stands an inch or so off the wall..."floating" in the air.
The ink fusion gives these two pieces a softer cool look that laughs at the Texas heat!
Windmill: Tiffany & Co. With Blue Sky is a 20x24 (approximate).
