The Art
They say that cotton strips the most nutrients from the soil, more than any other save tobacco. But, its a cash crop and we need the fiber for jeans and canvas and whatnot.
The crop was once famous for the necessity of being hand picked. With seeds and thorns complicating the process, time has evolved and harvesters now make the process look easy. In this image, you'll see the cotton in bloom on the fertile soil between Mathis and Skidmore. Growing under a powerful sky with wind turbines and power lines grabbing all of earths blessings; soil, wind, and the sun.
