Live Oak - Cotton Field : Ink on Canvas by JimRode
Live Oak - Cotton Field - Canvas art from JimRode of Friday Night Art

The Art
Sometimes when you travel the flat plains of Southern Texas, you come across extraordinary scenes that call out to you.
This scene, captured for my linen canvas, was shot from my iPhone. The image transfer brought out an extraordinary look from the sun whose brilliant radiance revealed the greens of the rays that carry the same color of the tree. It reminds me of a Van Gough move adding the color into the sky. It is pulsating life to the fields of cotton and the lone live oak tree. The wind turbine stands cold and aloof as the color turned blue on it's white skin. Truly, one of my favorite landscape portraits.
Art Details
This is a 20x30 ink on canvas. It is attached to a hardwood frame with a wire hanger so it is ready to display on the wall. JimRode uses real wood...a hardwood frame for longevity. The canvas is attached to the wood frame, wrapping the edge. Archival ink of course, and premium canvas with a poly/linen blend for longevity. The inks soak the canvas fiber creating a depth of color.
