Arizona Apache Trail - Ink fusion art by JimRode

The Art
In Phoenix, head for Highway 60 into the Apache Trail. Near Roosevelt Lake, the highway turns to dirt. For forty miles you drive bare knuckled and breathless while stealing peeks at the view from the old Apache trail through the Superstition Mountains.
I still remember that 'uh oh' as I slowed the car onto the dirt. I photographed it. Then slowly drove this dangerous but awesome road. I'll never forget it.
Art Details
20x30 ink fusion on a sheet of aluminum. A metal box hanger piece is attached to the back for easy wall display.
Archival inks are applied to a mylar before layered onto a buffed sheet of aluminum. The artist's rendition is then burned at 400º melting the mylar to fuse the inks to the aluminum. A wall hanger is attached to the rear so that the piece can be displayed in the office or home collection quickly
