Ten thousand miles of Kansas prairie makes up the beautiful Flint Hills. Graceful rolling hills with a rich nutritious grass makes it the perfect place for cattle country to feed.
It was a national treasure during World Wars 1 and 2 as a vital and dependable area to graze cattle for the war effort.
This is a 20x30 ink infusion to metal shows the cattle and the dust as they are newly released to a pen before their release to grazing.
It was created using inks to mylar before being fused to aluminum at 400 degrees. I've added a metal hanger back so it is ready to hang. It is a gorgeous image for the western office.
