The National Gallery of Art has been on my bucket list for a long time. I didn't expect it to be so cool!
If you like to visit art in the cities you travel to, the National is a must see.
It stretches between 3 and 9th on Constitution Ave. NW in Washington DC. There is a lot to see and it is some of the best. From Van Gough to Picasso to Leonardo! -And it is all free. It is the peoples gallery. It belongs to us.
I captured dozens of works with my iPhone, and I've got a few for you to see. I can't emphasize to much this makes Washington DC a place to vacation.
Non flash cellphone shots are allowed. There are a few pieces that plainly state 'no photography allowed' and I obeyed.
More info from my blog at Friday Night Art.
