The view of Connecticut Ave from seven floors up was so unimpressive...and then magic happened. A snowstorm in Washington seemed to paralyze the city for a few hours. As it was March, 4 inches of the soft and quiet was to disappear after lunch. But until then, it was an exciting feast for the eyes, heart and the paint.
The coated trees, the tracks of the cabs and the distant man in the colored umbrella seemed to be a blessing from God. I turned media inks to a sheet of aluminum and baked it in at 400º. With a clear coat spray it is gorgeous. I feel so proud. So lucky, for a sudden snow.
