Rain on My Streets, an art print by artist JimRode
Rain on My Streets - Fine Art Print by OKC artist Jim Rode
The Art
You wait for traffic to pass in the rain. A pedestrian crosses getting soaked. No umbrella.
This is where your mind takes a pause. You could move the brain into decision mode, even take action, but no. You tell yourself that there is nothing you can do about giving a rain soaked man a ride. Your fears bubble in the your head - "add water to create a murderer". We know that action is in doubt...too many Hitchcock movies growing up. Still, the cogs in your head refuse to move. He's without a car. He is wet. Do I introduce his rain puddles to inside my car? No. Your mind takes a pause, and you let it. No action is taken. You turn right. You assume you won't feel guilty later.
