The Art
A glorious splash of colors, waving line reflections and the starry night from the Pacific Ocean off of San Diego.
The nice things about cruise ships is that as a passenger, you are often in the wrong time zone. We get our 7-8 hours of sleep, then climbing into slippers, we wander to the deck to see the ocean, smell the air, and catch a warm breeze. Sometimes we catch the ship inching into harbor. It's huge size casting small waves of water streaming off into infinity.
Reflected colors bring us an understanding of how tiny we are on this planet.
Art Details
Archival inks are applied to a mylar before layered onto a buffed sheet of aluminum. The artist's rendition is then burned at 400º melting the mylar to fuse the inks to the aluminum. A wall hanger is attached to the rear so that the piece can be displayed in the office or home collection quickly.
