The Art
Just inside a nook of the lobby of the Santa Fe Depot in Oklahoma City, stands a figure looking at the window. She waits for a ride, looking west as the sun sets.
Amtrak is the heart of this building. The train pumps out a few people at a time, twice a day, keeping the building alive. Without the people, ghosts would walk the lobby, looking up at the chandelier and the art deco ceiling wondering what has come to pass in their short lives. Their feet would grow cold on the marble floor...if they touch at all.
It is a beautiful building, all dressed up and nobody to know.
