The Art
For years upon years I've traveled between Kansas and Texas, passing through the Arbuckle mountains. I stopped a couple times at the scenic lookout, but was never fully satisfied. This year, I was worn out, a little down on luck - nothing bad...just so tired.
I explored the byway near these wind turbines to get the real picture of what they are all about. I took the county road through the hills. Only traffic was two pick-up trucks. Probably lucky with having light traffic myself being tired...still I was determined to search for a better image. With my car window down while slipping through the blue skies, I came upon the turbines stand, in the cool breeze of the mountain top.
I found the three crosses on Calvary, the Holy Cross and the two thieves. I know, just the luck of perspective, but sometimes if you don't have luck you have nothing at all. I needed luck that day.
Art Details
Using inks and a 20x30 canvas, I worked to recreate that feeling of wonder... I used a six color process with archival inks. The Canvas is a linen-poly blend for longevity and it is attached to a hardwood frame, not a cardboard fiber fold which is popular but inferior.
You can own this 20x30 ink on canvas for you home or office. Give it as a gift to your church office.
