Houston After the Rain - Ink Fusion art by JimRode
What - 20x30 ink fusion wall decor by JimRode at FridayNightArt
What is Houston but sin, sweat, achievement, glory, history, oil and power? A good rain shines things up.
Within each shiny building come wheels and deals. Contracts, attorneys, accountants work all the numbers, money and depreciation. The word comes down from on high to the managers, workers and then walked home to women and children. Every penny is counted. The return through tax, insurance, grocery and gas is expected. The amounts pass over the worry beads of the guy at the top, gazing at his yacht on his computers screen saver.
A good rain washes the buildings of sin, power, glory, but they carefully seal each building so only the outside gets washed.
Someday, a hurricane.

Size
This art piece is a 20x30 ink fusion by artist Jim Rode at Friday Night Art.
How
Archival inks are applied to a mylar before layered onto a buffed sheet of aluminum. The artist's rendition is then burned at 400º to fuse the image to the aluminum. A wall hanger is attached to the rear so that the piece can be displayed in the office or home collection quickly. Jim Rode will sign the work unless you request the signature on the back of the aluminum.
